About Pathgate Institute
Pathgate Institute of Buddhist Studies is founded by Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje to promote the propagation of Buddha Dharma comprising the full range of studies and practices of the Small Vehicle (Hinayana), the Large Vehicle (Mahayana), and the Secret Mantra Vehicle (Vajrayana) in accordance to the Three Turning of the Dharma Wheel by Shakyamuni Buddha. Through integrated education and practical guidance to develop the full potential of compassion and wisdom in his students for the benefit of all beings, Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje nurtures his followers to transform their mind from one that is distracted by worldly concern which is characterised by conflict, turmoil and dissatisfaction to that of a liberated state which gives rise to the attainment of infinite joy, harmony and equanimity.
Education aside, which includes participation in inter-faith dialogues with teachers and leaders of other religions, Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje’s compassionate activities also extend to the support of other Buddhist Institutes, Dharma Centres, monasteries, schools, children homes, hospitals, medical clinics, homeless centres, disaster relief, refugee centres, charity organisations and community welfare in many parts of the world through the Pathgate Partnership Programme.
