Buddhist Medicine - Healing Accounts

Daimon Lau has been a student of Lama Dondrup Dorje since October 1990:

"My first experience of Qigong Healing involved the treatment of a recurring eye infection which I have suffered from since childhood. The initial symptoms are itchiness which then leads to swelling and slight blistering. Previous treatment from a GP usually involved a course of antibiotics and the application of an ophthalmic ointment, which together cured the infection in about one week. On this occasion, my eye had been causing me irritation since the previous day, and had swollen slightly. So I sought help from Sifu Yeung. I was told to stand with my eyes closed and relaxed. My first sensation was of warmth around the infected area, this gradually increased causing my whole face to relax. I then felt the swelling physically disperse from around my eye going down my cheek until it had simply ‘dissolved’ away. The whole treatment lasted about two minutes, during which time there was no physical contact. The infection was completely cured. Since then, I have witnessed and been the subject of many successful healing sessions conducted by Sifu in all parts of the world.

On another occasion, I was the subject of a demonstration involving Qigong Healing without physical contact when I found myself barely able to stand after strikes were made to my genitals in training. I was told to stand about three feet away in front of Sifu. Within seconds, I sensed the pain, a hollow feeling, rising up my stomach, become subdued, and the centre of my body around the groin and abdomen began to tingle and warm gently. After about 30 seconds, I was free of any discomfort save the memory."
