Audio Teachings by Lama Dondrup Dorje Rinpoche
Buddha’s Prescription to End Suffering
This Audio Teaching, taken from the first week’s teaching of Pathgate Summer School 2014, Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje explains the different types of suffering we experience, and how to bring a stop to them. By understanding the ways that we suffer, we can come to recognise the symptoms that prevent us from finding happiness, and learn to counter them with appropriate antidotes. Cultivating the Four Immeasurable qualities of loving-kindness, compassion, altruistic joy and equanimity, we develop the capacity to accommodate all conditions. Recognising the turmoil and dissatisfaction that we experience repeatedly through cycles of habitual suffering, we learn to rely on the Noble Eightfold Path, given by Shakyamuni Buddha as a remedy to our life of suffering.
Through modern world examples and analogies, Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje shows how we can apply this timeless teaching in our daily life and in so doing liberate ourselves from the dissatisfaction and suffering we repeatedly experience.
