Funding for new uniforms was recently made available to the staff of the Namling Tsepal Tobkyed Hospital in the Tibetan settlement of Bylakuppe, Mysore, South India. Pathgate Institute of Buddhist Studies has been a long–time sponsor of the hospital, which is founded by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche and is run under the administration of the Namdroling Monastery for the benefit of the local community. Past sponsorship through the Pathgate Partnership Programhas included provision of an extensive range of medical equipments and funding towards the running costs of the hospital such as staff wages and electricity bill.

In response to a request made by the Hospital Adminstrator, Lama Dondrup Dorje Rinpoche has agreed once again to sponsor new uniforms for all the staffs at the hospital this year. A similar arrangement was made last year which saw new uniforms offered to every staff member of the hospital including the doctors, nurses, pharmacy staffs, laboratory technicians, administrative staffs, domestics and even the security guards of the hospital.
