Samantabhadra Retreat Centre

In addition to the many ongoing projects, the Pathgate Partnership Programme has sponsored the construction of two new 3-storey buildings for the Ngagyur Nyingma Institute at Namdroling Monastery, and is now raising funds to support the construction of a new Retreat Centre in Bhutan. The land for the Retreat Centre has already been acquired and the first phase of the Retreat Centre has been formally opened in April 2011.

Ngagyur Nyingma University

The Pathgate Partnership Programme has sponsored many projects to support the Namling Hospital at the Namdroling Monastery including provision of a new generator and battery to provide an uninterrupted supply of water and electricity to the hospital. When the hospital became inundated with patients suffering the symptoms of typhoid, Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje immediately offered to procure the necessary vaccines to implement a full scale vaccination program that covered every member of the Namdroling Monastery and members of the neighbouring Tibetan community. A new computer with a special program for the purpose of keeping an up-to-date register of patients was also procured for the staff of the hospital admission, as were new uniforms for all the staff at the hospital.

Togden Rinpoche giving transmission

Other recent projects have included being a principal sponsor of the Second Ngagyur Kama Transmission event at Bodhgaya in India; the translation and publishing of 3 separate Prayer Books with English translations, jointly with Namdroling Monastery; the distribution of over 8000 thangka posters of HH Penor Rinpoche to ordained and lay Palyul students worldwide; and the sponsoring of winter clothing for over one hundred monks and lamas of the Mahayana Nyingma Institute in Buli, Zhemgang, Bhutan.

Due to the generous support of friends and students, Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje has also been able to provide critical support in times of crisis, such as offering funds to support Kunzang Odsal Palyul Changchub Choling (KPC), a Vajrayana Buddhist organisation of Palyul Nyingma tradition founded by Jetsuma Akhon Norbu Lhamo, when their main temple and grounds were in danger of being lost to the bank.
